Wednesday, March 6 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

Join Student Life and Kean Ocean Student Government for an early afternoon of Karaoke fun! Come out and sing some of your favorite songs!

Student Center 2nd Floor (Building #8)

Tuesday, March 12 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for a lunchtime performance by Mark Rust, a multi-talented singer & musician from Woodstock NY. Mark will give a concert of “Irish Music & Songs” to celebrate St Patrick’s Day!

The show is an upbeat & fun collection of traditional & contemporary popular Irish songs, raucous fiddle tunes, stories & poems. As always, Mark will include some beautifully hypnotic original pieces for hammered dulcimer. The show features an impressive array of traditional Irish instruments including guitar, fiddle, banjo, hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, and spoons.

Join us for a poetry reading and talk by Reginald Dwayne Betts.  More information can be found on the Grunin Center website.

This event is free for students, faculty, staff, and community members.  Advanced registration is required and can be done on the Grunin Center website.

Grunin Center Main Stage (Building #11a)

Monday, April 15 from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm

Join us for a poetry Open Mic event as part of this year’s Poetry Festival!  We are excited for you to join us as a participant or as an observer.  No sign-up or registration is required!

This event is free for students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Student Center 2nd Floor (Building #8)

Monday, April 22 from 9:30 am – 10:45 am

Join us for a poetry performance by 皇冠365官方APP Students, Faculty, and Staff.  Selections from Emily Wilson’s acclaimed translation of The Iliad will be performed.

This event is free for students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Gateway Lecture Hall (Building #101)

Tuesday, April 23 from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm

Join us in the Black Box Theater as actor and writer David Mills’ takes us on an odyssey spanning five decades—from the 1920s-through the 1960s– of Hughes’ writings.  More information on this event can be found on the Grunin Center website.

Advance registration is required for this event.  Students can receive free tickets in the Grunin Center box office with a valid student ID (building #11a).  Community members can purchase tickets on the Grunin Center website.

Grunin Center Black Box Theater (Building #11b)

Thursday, May 2 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Join us on the campus mall for Spring Day! More details on this year’s event coming soon…

Free for students, faculty, and staff.

Trips!

Friday, April 19 – Sunday, April 21 

Join us for a weekend full of education and fun in Washington DC!  The trip includes bussing to/from DC, hotel accommodations, visits to several memorials and attractions, and some meals.  (The Capitol, Library of Congress, US Holocaust Memorial Museum, National Museum of African American History, Smithsonian Museums, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and more!)

  • Quad Room: $350 per person
  • Triple Room: $400 per person
  • Double Room: $450 per person
  • Single Room:  $650 per person

Wednesday, March 27 from 11:30 am – 11:45 pm

The bus leaves 皇冠365官方APP Lot #2 at 11:30 am.  The Historical Society Tour will begin at 1:00 pm.  The Broadway Show, LEMPICKA, will begin at 8:00 pm.

The bus leaves 皇冠365官方APP Lot #2 at 9:00 am.  The United Nations Tour will begin at 12:00 pm.  The Broadway Show, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, will begin at 7:00 pm.

Policies

  1. Personal, valid 皇冠365官方APP ID Card must be presented to purchase.
  2. You must accompany your guests on any trip. We reserve the right to check ID Cards on the bus.
  3. Tickets are limited to four (4) per person, unless indicated otherwise. All sales are on a first come, first served basis.
  4. NO ADVANCE reservations will be taken or tickets held. Payment in full is required at the time of reservation.
  5. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact Student Life at 732-255-0348 in the event of a cancellation prior to the day of the trip.
  6. Cancellations will only be refunded if the ticket(s) can be resold.
  7. No one under the age of 18 is permitted on any trip unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  8. Alcoholic Beverages are PROHIBITED on college-sponsored trips.
  9. Prices are subject to change at any time.  Unless otherwise noted, all tickets/seats are on sale in the Student Life Office.
  10. All participants attending a Student Life Office sponsored trip must sign and “Off-Campus Travel Release” in advance.
